inofficial: An Acustica Audio original mastering processor with a frankenstein mish mash of modules. The first acqua plugin with "Analog Plus" and "Euphonic" technology. Although Acustica no longer designates their technology with the Core name, I have labeled it with a "20" for posterity purposes. Wine is confirmed to have used Purple (Pultec) and Sand (SSL) equalizer curves. The Tone processor in Wine is a tilt equalizer. Could possibly be a Gryaf Audio G23-S Ambler sampling. Or whichever one was used in Fire the Tilt. The compressor uses Tiger Ultra tech, Limiter uses Lace tech and the Clipper section uses Ash Ultra tech. Yellow (21, NOVA) - Acustica's year 2026 preamp evolution to deep neural networks. Vintage (BAOP6) - The RCA OP-6 preamp and BA-6A compression. If you want character and "heft" on weaksauce sources, use this one. Classic (GE195) - The General Electric BA-series / Uni-Level. - Warmer and smoother than the Vintage unit. A more refined sound. Possibly the GE 1951 or BA-9-A. Modern (VLTPX) - Thermionic Earlybird preamp and Phoenix compressor. Preserves transients, sounds expensive and has the least amount of "character" and "warmth" but still nice.
The Essence of High-End Analog Sophistication
Wine is a premium suite created in collaboration with Greg Wells. It is designed for those who want to infuse their tracks with the smooth, expensive, and velvety character of elite boutique hardware. It’s not about grit; it’s about sophistication and depth.
Key Features
-
Boutique Signal Chain: Combines a musical passive EQ, a smooth-leveling compressor, and a rich preamp section into one cohesive workflow.
-
Hyper-Saturated Harmonics: Uses the latest Hyper technology to emulate tube and transformer saturation with incredible accuracy, providing that "3D" analog feel.
-
Tailored Musicality: Every knob is tuned to avoid harshness. You can push the EQ and preamps significantly while maintaining a natural, pleasing tone.
-
Modern vs. Vintage Modes: Switch between a pristine modern response and a more harmonically dense vintage character.
-
Aria Visuals: High-definition metering and a sleek interface ensure that you can dial in the perfect amount of "body" and "shine" effortlessly.
Pro Tip: Try using the Wine Pre on your master bus even if you don’t need the EQ or compressor. The transformer emulation alone can be enough to make the mix sound more "finished" and less digital.
